Bicycle John’s presents the third annual Pedalin’ with the Poppies century and metric century in Acton, Calif. Enjoy the clean desert air and spectacular scenery along a gently rolling, lightly trafficked route through the Antelope Valley. The ride starts and finishes in front of Bicycle John’s Acton store and includes a post-ride barbeque. Non-riding friends or family members may enjoy the barbecue for $5 if registered before May 5th or $10 the day of the ride.

DEMO OPPORTUNITY: We realize that a five minute, parking lot test ride is hardly sufficient to really get a feel for a new bicycle.  The only way to find the bicycle that's right for you is to get out on the open road.  That's why Bicycle John's has enlisted the help of some of the bicycle industries biggest and most prestigious names to offer our customers the rare opportunity to test ride their bicycles during
Bicycle John’s "Pedalin with the Poppies" century and metric century.

This demo program offers you the chance to develop a deeper understanding of which bike is best matched for your particular riding style.  Each bicycle is unique and such an experience will communicate volumes more than a spin around the parking lot.

For this program, we are offering some of the finest bicycles available. Featured manufactures include: Look USA and Pinarrello. Specific models and component groups may vary. Special requests will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

To register and reserve a bicycle for the “Pedalin with the Poppies” demo program, call Bicycle John’s Acton (661-269-0745).  A demo fee of $115 is charged per bike.  The fee includes registration into“Pedalin with the Poppies” and a professional bicycle fit prior the ride.  $85 of each fee is applicable towards the purchase of a new
bicycle or frame-set.  A credit card and photo ID are required and returned at the conclusion of the event.  The rider is responsible for any damage incurred to the demo equipment.  Supplies are limited and bicycles must be reserved by May 1st.

FROM L.A.: 5 Freeway north to the Hwy 14 split. Go north on the 14 until you reach the Santiago Road exit. Exit and turn left. Go under the 14 Hwy. Bicycle John’s is located in the shopping center to the right.
FROM THE ANTELOPE VALLEY: Hwy 14 south to Santiago Road exit. Exit and turn right. Cross Sierra Hwy. Bicycle John’s is located in the shopping center to the right.
